The Great Huia Challange

The weather was better, so we finally got to complete the Huia challange. This consisted of three tasks (to be completed in any order). After this the group was given the right to cook a delicious burger:

1) Fly a kite for 5 minutes. Seeing as there was no wind, this finally came down to running around the field in circles towing the kite behind. Ricki made a tremendous effort running down a large hill, and Trevor holding the kite at the top. The kite reached full string length, but at the bottom of the hill the kite soon followed Ricki down when he ran out of field.

2) Write a bible verse in river stones. The verse chosen was rather short - Jesus wept!

3) Collect as much manure as you can (plastic bags supplied free). The girls made a huge effort on this one, although we couldn't get them to touch any of the stuff. They instead decided to use one of the plastic bags as a glove.
