Announcing - Easter 2003 AT LAST!

That has to be the best Easter we have ever had.  The 6 home groups were such a great time of inspiration and the final communion service was something very special. Maureen's lighting display of Calvary was so unique and the sense of God's presence was more than we could have asked for.

I've tried hard to get to everyone who in someway was involved in the weekend's events - from the caste and crew of the drama to the caters and cleaners of the International Lunch.

Of course it was great to see the church full to standing room only but even greater was the certainty in uncertain times that He is Risen!

This month on the Avenue...

Youth Explosion...
Is an annual Youth Event and this year is right on our back door step.  The camp caters for young people from age 12 and up and is held at the Peter Snell Village, on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula,  over Queen's Birthday Weekend, May 30th- June 2nd.

For $90 the young people are inspired, challenged and goven opportunities to abseil, shoot, climb, leap, eat, go without a shower, make more friends than really needed, and come home tired, happy and stronger spiritually.....

Camp forms are available at the information table.

Youth in Mission...
This needs some careful thought....   we have the opportunity of hosting 4 to 6 American young people in July.  These young people will be with us as a special ministry team.  They bring talent, time and energy. We need to consider the very best way of using these young people...  start getting ideas in shape...  it will be a lot of fun....
