From the Pastor's desk
We are heading towards the Easter Celebrations when we once again join with millions of other worshippers around the world to remember the amazing gift of God's Son, His death and resurrection.

Our church library has available on loan Max Lucado's book called Six Hours one Friday.  What a powerful book this is.  On page 18 of Chapter 1 there is this truly simple statement...

"Six hours.  One Friday.  Enough time for:
  • A shepherd to examine his flocks.
  • A housewife to clean and organise her home.
  • A mid wife to deliver a baby.
  • A nurse to reduce a patient's temperature.

Six hours.  From 9 am to 3 pm.  Six hours one Friday.  Six hours filled with, as are all hours, the mystery of life."

As we prepare our church and our hearts for Easter lets allow the challenge of what the risen Christ can do through our lives when we not only give him the hours we have.  but the hearts we own.  Our lives and his church will let people everywhere know that He is Alive.

Young Adult Forum and Search Me take on the same subject but divide for discussion on...
"So WHO is the Holy Spirit?"

Nothing but Praise...
is an event in every month where we have a 5th Sunday.... March 30th

This is a Sunday morning where we have... Nothing but Praise... your favourite songs and choruses and a few special presentations... a new song to learn and a chance to sing some of the old ones all over again.  A chance to share your testimony of God's help and blessing... more than anything a chance to do Nothing but Praise.  We will need a list of your best songs so sign the list at the information table and let our praise fill the church.

Easter Services
are being prepared right now.... we want to let the community know how great the Saviour of Mankind really is.  If you haven't already joined the drama team  please sign up by seeing Sharon and Paul Thomson.

Towards Easter...
as we begin the traditional season of Lent and head towards Easter we want to make a suggestion.  Let's mark this season in a unique way by the 6 weeks leading into Easter and on each Wednesday meet as Home Groups for prayer and fellowship from 7.30 to 8.45 pm.  We would like to meet in different homes with the final Wednesday night being at the church as a shared dinner.  Would you make yourself available for this time of ministry?  Is your home available as a host house  on one of the night's?  Please sign the registration sheet on the information table.

Muffins & Me...
my new church job of making muffins has been lots of fun.  I have run out of muffins but I'm making more.  If you know someone who isn't well I will take them my muffins.  So far they are only chocolate muffins. Jessica Stott  (age 9)
