Welcome to 2003...
this is going to be a year you never will forget.  So keep film in your camera, joy in your heart and prayer in your daily walk.  There are some new things going on and we want you to be part of them.  But before we talk about that let's re-wind the video for a moment.

Christmas on the Avenue  was a great event.  Seeing so many people's lives touched as they came to enjoy a wonderful dinner, great music and a beautiful atmosphere.  Everybody worked so hard.  The months of planning all paid off.  No matter what role you played it was so appreciated.

Te Arai Point camp was a few days of paradise.

Horse Riding Christian Camps were totally enjoyed by some now saddle sore teenagers who came home with stories to tell and a whole bunch of new friends, songs and laundry.

The Parachute Christian Festival is under way at the time of writing this so we look forward to a great report from those braving the summer rains. (note: Dargaville Nazarene's have put some photos of parachute here)

So lets talk about this year and the opportunity to try new things.  To begin with we'll talk about Sunday @ Six.

Sunday @ Six is something new happening twice a month.  With a relaxed atmosphere we have four really great study groups available.  So here's how it works;

5.50 pm Tea & coffee available.
6.00 pm
we begin with a few minutes of worship before breaking into our groups:

  • Kingdom Kids  is for children who will get to enjoy hands-on Bible games, a story time and a craft.
  • Youth Speak  will feature a life issue teen video, chat session and notes for the next weeks devotions.
  • Young Adult Forum  has a life issue study topic and weekly chat room.
  • Search Me...  is for those wanting to get into discipleship and personal growth as a believer.

The  evening  wraps  up  around 7.00pm with a quick combined sum up and a great song to take with you for the week.

We have lots of fine tuning to do before we launch our first Sunday @ Six and of course we will need group leaders to steer groups along.

And now let's talk about

The Drama Team...
because it is time to make your talents public! With Easter approaching we are seeking out those interested being part of The Drama Team.  Sign on at the information table or see Paul and Sharon Thomson and let them know you're available.

Welcome new members...
it always brings us happiness to welcome those formally joining with the Church.  We welcome Faiva Fala, Mark Paul, Bianca Laloyer, Vanessa Laloyer and Jessica Stott.

Food Parcel Ministry...
the unused products from Christmas on the Avenue we placed into our Food Parcel Ministry.  Over summer, parcels have been distributed as people have called the church.  If you would like to donate items please leave them beside the information table at any time.  Thanks for caring enough to consider this unseen but vital link to the community.

Muffins & Me...
is my idea.  I am Jessica and I am 9 and just joined the church.  I make yummy muffins most of the time.  If you know someone is feeling sick I will make muffins and take them to them.  So please tell me on a Sunday or phone me after school and I will do it to cheer them up a bit.

Welcome Home...
the Simon family are home after a busy 6 weeks overseas.  We also welcome to our country and to our church Nelson and Sheela Paul and their children Agnes and Samuel.  We are also delighted to welcome Samuel and Charlotte Kumar and their children Esther and Samuel.  If we can help to make you feel at home just ask us and let us try.
