Announcing - Easter 2003 AT LAST!

In a time when our world is so torn with uncertainty and talks more of enemies than eternity we join millions around the world who declare with a single voice  Easter at Last!

Never before have we needed this unequalled season of the year to remind us that God is in control. We're joining with the throngs of people who merge every year to celebrate the faithfulness of God and his  proven love and power through the risen Christ.

We've been taking time in our Home Group every Wednesday as we lead up to Easter to renew our hearts and lives and this quote so perfectly sums up our belief and commitment:

"The heavy, ponderous stone that sealed Jesus in the confines of a rock-walled tomb was but a pebble compared to the Rock of All Ages inside!"

Join with us for the Easter Services; in fact try not to miss a single opportunity as we celebrate and serve a Risen Saviour.

On Matters Financial
Very soon our treasurer Wayne Wessel will send out receipts for your tax returns. Those using the envelope system, cheques or automatic payments will receive an end of year statement. These statements are required if you claim a tax rebate.

Envelopes are available for this at the information table. Please remember to name your envelope.

Thank you for your consistent generous giving.

Our Wonderful English Language
If lawyers are disbarred and ministers are defrocked, doesn't it follow that electricians can be delighted, cowboys deranged, models deposed and dry cleaners depressed.

Laundry workers could decrease, eventually becoming depressed and depleted. Even more, bed makers will be debunked, baseball players will be debased, landscapers will be deflowered, bulldozer operators will be degraded, organ donors will be delivered, software engineers will be detested and even music composers will eventually decompose.

On a more positive note though, perhaps we can hope politicians will be devoted...
