Easter and April
Newsletter

From the Pastors desk
The Easter services this year have been planned and prayed for to provide us with a fresh new understanding of the greatness of God.

Good Friday's 10 am service will take us through the remarkable plan that God has unfolded. Several people are involved in this and along with the carefully chosen music Good Friday will truly touch hearts.

Sunday Sunrise Service 6.45 am will be worth the effort of making it to Mt Atkinson, Titirangi. Breakfast follows at the church with a donation requested, $2 pp suggested.

Easter Sunday 10.30 am will be big on praise and full of celebration as we join together to celebrate Jesus Christ as the Risen Lord. Let this Easter be a huge time of spiritual refreshing. Come expecting to find grace, challenge and new ways to walk closer than ever to the Lord. But best of all, invite a friend.

40-Hour Famine was tough this year. Eight young people spent Friday night at the church where they indulged in games, videos, litres of juice and an acre of barley sugar. They all found it tougher than ever but did a brilliant job. Congratulations, they raised just under $300. They also spent time taking complimentary hot chocolate door to door.

Coming our way in April

Few courses have been so down to earth and as helpful as Alpha. We have run Alpha 5 times over the past 2 years and plan on doing so again. A short video presentation of Alpha will feature after church Sunday April 7th.

Mums in touch
This is a specialised prayer ministry for the children and young people of our church and the schools they attend.
Co-ordinator Anita Polglase will provide special features at the ladies coffee breaks and in church services to keep us updated.

Pastoral Support
The Pastor is gladly available to visit all members and friends of the church and community. Pastoral support is a phone call away. Few of us, in our times of crisis, should attempt to deal with our cares and concerns alone. Members and friends who may not wish to consult with the Pastor about personal matters, as well as those who need longer-term counselling are referred to Cornerstone Christian Counselling for their care.
